Quantum Solutions raises up to ¥3.28B for Japan AI data centre business

What's the deal? Quantum SolutionsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard market, will raise up to about ¥3.28 billion (roughly $20.8 million) through a private placement to fund its AI data centre business. Its board approved the plan on August 7, 2026.

How it's structured: The company will issue new shares and 16th-series stock acquisition rights to Blackwell Cloud Co., Limited, plus 17th-series rights to CVI Investments, Inc. If all rights are exercised, the total reaches roughly ¥3.28 billion, of which up to about ¥1.48 billion is earmarked for launching the AI data centre business in Japan.

What's the endgame? Quantum Solutions is positioning AI data centres as a core part of its medium- to long-term strategy. It has secured high-density data centre and power capacity and is preparing to commercialise AI infrastructure using NVIDIA B300 GPU servers; the fresh capital will fund GPU servers, networking, and storage equipment.

The other two moves: The company will refinance existing convertible securities, retiring the remaining 13th-series rights and replacing its 4th convertible bond with a 6th bond. It also approved tax-qualified stock options for employees of the company and its subsidiaries.

The signal: At roughly $20.8 million, the raise reflects how listed companies in Japan are courting private capital to buy GPU capacity and stake early claims in domestic AI infrastructure.
