ServiceNow buys Israeli AI startup Sweep in deal estimated in the hundreds of millions

What's the deal? ServiceNow has acquired Israeli startup Sweep in a transaction estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Sweep, which had raised $46 million in disclosed funding, builds AI agents that operate across enterprise platforms including ServiceNow, Salesforce, and HubSpot. Neither company has officially announced the deal or its value.

What does Sweep do? Founded in 2021 by Ido Gaver and Eran Kirshenboim, Sweep develops an "agentic workspace" for go-to-market operations. Its software monitors metadata across enterprise systems, flags misalignments and bottlenecks, and generates documentation. The company has been developing an "agentic layer" that can recommend or implement changes rather than just flag problems.

Why now? The deal comes less than two months after ServiceNow acquired Israeli AI startup ai.work for tens of millions of dollars. That company, founded by former WalkMe executives, built AI agents to handle internal processes across IT, legal, HR, procurement, and finance.

What's the endgame? ServiceNow is building a strategy around AI agents and autonomous enterprise work, targeting different layers of the technology stack. "Sweep's technology and expertise strengthen our AI-native development capabilities and advance agentic deployment for CRM," ServiceNow said in a statement. Sweep's customers have included Brex, LG Electronics, Mass General Brigham, NBC Sports, and Wix.

The signal: ServiceNow's Israeli buying spree has accelerated sharply this year, headlined by the $7.75 billion purchase of cybersecurity company Armis. It has also acquired Pyramid Analytics for several hundred million dollars and Traceloop for an estimated $60 million to $80 million. Including earlier transactions, ServiceNow has made at least seven acquisitions involving Israeli companies, with total deal value exceeding $8 billion.
