TriOrb adds ¥300M to Series B, pushing total raised to ¥4.53B

What does the company do? Founded in February 2023 as a spinout from Kyushu Institute of Technology, TriOrb builds a ball-driven, 360° omnidirectional mobility platform called TriOrb BASE. It targets factory transport and automation, aiming to enable flexible, self-configuring production lines.

Why now? The raise follows a ¥2.88 billion first close of the same Series B, bringing total funding to ¥4.53 billion. The follow-on capital will support product mass production, US market expansion and hiring.

The signal: The mix of equity and debt, backed by a state financing arm and a Toyota group trading house, gives TriOrb strategic and financial support as it works towards wider manufacturing deployment.
