Prophet buys London's JBi Digital to add technical muscle across EMEA
What's the deal? Strategy and creative consultancy Prophet has acquired JBi DigitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a London-based transformation agency, to expand its website strategy, design and development offering across Europe, the Middle East and North America. Terms were not disclosed.
What does JBi do? Founded in 2008, JBi Digital designs and delivers large-scale digital platforms for enterprise, public sector and regulated-sector organisations.
What's the endgame? The deal pairs Prophet's growth and transformation work with JBi's technical capabilities, letting the combined business offer end-to-end services spanning strategy, website design, development and ongoing optimisation.
Why now? "Clients increasingly want one partner that can connect growth strategy with delivery," said Tobias Bärschneider, senior partner and EMEA regional lead at Prophet. He added the acquisition strengthens Prophet's capabilities across EMEA — including the UK, Germany, Switzerland and the Middle East — and expands support for clients in North America.
What changes for JBi? David Gelb, co-founder and managing director of JBi Digital, said joining Prophet "feels like the natural next chapter," giving the agency a platform to broaden its offering while keeping its hands-on approach.
Co-founder and operations director Raj Bawa said the tie-up brings together "two highly complementary businesses," giving clients broader expertise without losing the service they expect.
The signal: The acquisition reflects a wider consolidation trend in professional services, as consultancies buy in technical delivery capacity to sell strategy and execution under one roof.
