Try Dealroom →, a German provider of web-based software for evaluation, examination, and quality management. The deal, announced in July 2026, gives the company backing to accelerate its next phase of growth.
What does evasys do? Through its evasys, evaexam, and qurricula products, the company automates evaluation and benchmarking across higher education, healthcare, and the public sector. Use cases range from measuring the quality of education and medical care to meeting regulatory requirements.
Why now? Evasys has 30 years of experience and describes itself as the market leader for evaluation, examination, and quality management in the DACH region. It has recently completed a transformation into a recurring Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business — a shift that typically makes a company more attractive to private equity buyers.
What's the endgame? VIA equity wants to expand evasys internationally and deeper into the healthcare and public sectors. It also plans to accelerate product innovation, "particularly in AI-powered analytics," said Sebastian Maciejewski, a partner at VIA equity.
Why VIA? Maciejewski said the firm was drawn to evasys's "strong market position, its broad international customer base and its experienced management team."
The signal: The acquisition reflects continued private equity appetite for established SaaS businesses with recurring revenue and a defensible niche. Evasys's regional dominance and pivot to subscription software make it a template for the kind of vertical software play buyers are chasing.
