What changed under EQT? The company launched Quantios Core, a cloud-native platform that moved customers off on-premise software and onto subscriptions. It also strengthened its AI capabilities and acquired Klea, an AI-powered legal entity management platform for corporate legal departments.
What they said: Nicholas Macksey, co-head of EQT Private Capital Asia, called the exit "an important milestone for our Asia mid-market strategy" and pointed to results "even in a more selective market for software transactions in 2026."
Chief executive officer Guy Harrison said the team had helped customers navigate "two of the biggest technology shifts our industry has seen: first the move to cloud, and now agentic."
What's next? The transaction is subject to customary conditions and approvals. It is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.
The signal: The deal reflects continued private equity appetite for vertical, cloud-native SaaS, even in a cautious software dealmaking environment. It also underlines the standard buyout playbook: consolidate two niche players, migrate them to subscriptions, bolt on AI, then sell to the next sponsor.
