Humanoid raises $152M, becoming the UK’s first AI robotics unicorn

What's the deal? UK-based Humanoid has raised a $152 million Series A at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation, making it Europe's first pure-play humanoid robotics unicorn. Prime Movers Lab led the round, with participation from Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial, and Aglaé Ventures.

By the numbers: The raise brings Humanoid's total capital to $270 million, just two years after founding. It ranks among the largest Series A rounds ever recorded for its sector and country.

What's the endgame? Humanoid builds industrial humanoid robots aimed at logistics, manufacturing, and retail. The capital will fund its next-generation platform, its proprietary AI system KinetIQ, and the start of mass manufacturing of wheel-based robots.

Product update: The company plans to roll out Beta version robots in the fourth quarter of 2026, working toward a general-purpose robot for industrial use. It has signed partnerships with Fortune 500 firms including SAP, NVIDIA, Bosch, and Siemens.

Market expansion: Humanoid is pushing into long-term commercial deployments at customer facilities. It recently signed what it calls the industry's largest publicly announced commercial agreement with Schaeffler to deploy thousands of robots in manufacturing environments.

Why now? Founder and chief executive officer Artem Sokolov said the funding lets the company “move even faster and to turn humanoid robots from breakthrough technology into everyday industrial tools.” Humanoid framed the round as proof that competitive Physical AI firms can scale outside the US and China.

The signal: Sokolov expects the field to “consolidate around a handful of category leaders” across the US, Europe, and China. This round positions Humanoid as Europe's bid to hold a seat at that table.
