Peter Sarlin's Qutwo hits €325M valuation months after launch

What's the deal? Helsinki-based AI startup Qutwo has raised €25M in an angel round at a €325M valuation — just months after launching. The company was co-founded by Peter Sarlin, whose previous startup Silo AI was sold to US semiconductor giant AMDDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → for $665M in 2024. Qutwo says it has already secured €20M in contracted revenue.

Why now? Sarlin's track record gives him rare credibility in Europe's AI scene. Selling Silo AI to AMD for $665M was one of the continent's largest AI exits, and that pedigree likely made it easier to attract angel investors willing to back a company at a lofty valuation this early. The round's investors include Legora's Max June.

What could go wrong? A €325M valuation for a startup that is only months old is a big bet, even with a proven founder. Early contracted revenue is promising, but converting that into sustained growth is a different challenge entirely. The AI market is crowded and moving fast — being early doesn't guarantee staying ahead.

The signal: Qutwo's positioning as an "operating system for quantum and classical AI" hints at a bet beyond today's generative AI hype — bridging quantum computing with conventional machine learning. With €20M in contracted revenue already on the books and a founder fresh off one of Europe's biggest AI exits, the round suggests investors are willing to pay a steep premium for founders who can credibly straddle both cutting-edge research and commercial delivery.
