Treasury BV Raises €126M to Spearhead Europe’s Bitcoin Treasury Surge
Netherlands‑based Treasury BV has secured €126 million (~$147 million) in a private funding round led by Winklevoss Capital and Nakamoto Holdings , marking a pivotal moment in Europe's evolving Bitcoin treasury landscape.
The firm has entered into a binding reverse listing agreement with Dutch investment company MKB Nedsense (MKBN) . Under the deal, MKBN will absorb Treasury BV’s assets and liabilities, issuing new shares to Treasury investors. The issuance comes with a 4.35¢ dividend per share and is priced at a 72% premium over MKBN’s July 11 closing price—a sign of solid investor confidence. Upon completion, the rebranded entity will trade on Euronext Amsterdam under the ticker TRSR.
Bolstering its market presence beyond treasury operations, Treasury BV has acquired Bitcoin Amsterdam , the continent’s premier Bitcoin conference. This move reflects its broader mission to deepen Bitcoin adoption across Europe.
This development is part of a burgeoning trend: companies across Europe increasingly treating Bitcoin as a core treasury asset. Treasury’s actions parallel those of Amdax , which secured €20 million to launch its own Bitcoin treasury strategy, and The Blockchain Group , which in March 2025 made its largest single purchase of 580 B
Markets responded positively—MKBN shares spiked over 30% , climbing to approximately €0.15 shortly after trading began, signaling robust enthusiasm for Bitcoin treasury models. The broader pattern signals growing institutional legitimacy for Bitcoin in Europe’s financial ecosystem.
In short, this launch reveals a new chapter in Europe’s digital asset narrative—one where Bitcoin is stepping into a role once reserved for traditional reserves, and where companies are deliberately architecting balance sheets around it.
