The move, which is pending regulatory approval, aims to tackle the deep imbalance in UK venture funding, where more than 80% of capital continues to flow to London and the Southeast.
The newly formed PXN Group will maintain offices in Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds, and London, and will continue to invest in high-growth companies across sectors like SaaS, healthtech, fintech, climate tech, AI, and robotics. The group now counts 105 portfolio companies, and plans to expand its support through new programs, partnerships, and initiatives for advisers.
The merger combines Par Equity’s strength in early-stage technology investing with Praetura’s hands-on operational support and tax-efficient investment structures. Founders will now be able to access funding ranging from £200K to £8 million, along with a more scalable and regionally focused investor base.
