Salesforce acquires Convergence.ai in ~$120M exit

AI startup Convergence.ai, founded by alumni of Cohere, DeepMind, Meta, OpenAI, and PolyAI, has been acquired by Salesforce just a year after raising a $12M seed round.

While the official exit price hasn’t been disclosed, back-of-the-envelope and investor-sourced estimates put the deal in the range of £120M–£144M (approx. $150M–$180M). Based on a 25% seed dilution and a 3.3x return over 10 months, it suggests a 300% IRR and a strong seed-stage outcome—possibly among the fastest in recent UK tech.

Earlier estimates floated a $240M total exit based on a typical 20% ownership assumption.
