D-Robotics lands $400M Series C, the largest China robotics round in four years

What's the deal? D-Robotics has raised $400 million in a Series C round led by Future Asset, the company announced on September 17, 2026. Meituan and Hefei Guotou also participated. The funds will expand the firm's Xuri chip line and build a software platform spanning data collection, model training, simulation verification, and inference deployment.

Why it matters: This is the largest Series C robotics round in China over the trailing 48 months, ranking in the top 1% by amount among 52 comparable deals. The size signals sharp investor appetite for embodied intelligence infrastructure.

Why now? D-Robotics posted multiple-fold revenue growth in the first half of 2026 against the prior year. Cumulative shipments of its Xuri series chips passed 8 million units, marking a shift to mass production for its embodied intelligence business.

What's the endgame? The company is building the chip and software backbone for embodied intelligence — robots that perceive and act in the physical world. Its Xuri S600 chip has won over 20 leading clients, covering more than 50% of the embodied intelligence sector.

What's next? D-Robotics plans to expand its DGP Gravity Plan to incubate robotics products and back startups across the development cycle. No further timeline was disclosed.

The signal: A nine-figure round of this scale, rare among China's robotics deals, reflects mounting conviction that embodied intelligence is moving from lab to mass production. As chips and software converge, infrastructure players like D-Robotics are positioning to supply the sector's next phase.
