Medallion buys Andros to build largest AI-native credentialing platform
What's the deal? Medallion has acquired Andros, an NCQA-certified credentials verification organization, in a transaction announced September 15, 2026. Terms were undisclosed. The combined platform brings more than one million providers across nearly 400 healthcare organizations and health plans onto a single credentialing system.
What do they do? Medallion runs an AI-assisted credentialing and enrollment platform with human oversight, serving health plans, health systems, provider groups, and telehealth companies. Andros, founded in 2013, has credentialed providers for the same categories of customers.
What's the endgame? The deal makes Medallion the largest AI-native credentialing platform in the US, according to the company. It advances a strategy to combine credentialing, enrollment, licensing, and provider data management on one system.
What changes for customers? Andros customers will gain access to Medallion over time, including automated primary source collection, AI agents that handle provider outreach and follow-up, and real-time status tracking. Medallion also embeds credentialing specialists alongside its automation.
"Over the past 13 years Andros has developed strong, trusted relationships with many of the top health plans in the country," said Derek Lo, founder and chief executive officer of Medallion. He added that Andros's success "will only be strengthened by Medallion's AI-native credentialing solution."
