Netwealth to buy AI advice startup Paradino for $14M
What's the deal? Australian wealth platform Netwealth has agreed to acquire 100% of ParadinoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an AI-enabled adviser workflow and advice automation startup, for A$20 million (≈$14 million). The upfront consideration comprises A$15 million in cash and A$5 million in Netwealth shares, announced on September 15, 2026.
What each side brings: Netwealth provides integrated platform, technology, and data solutions for financial advisers. Paradino, built around its Athena AI capability, automates advice document preparation, meeting notes, client communications, and related admin.
The terms: Beyond the upfront A$20 million, Netwealth will pay up to A$9 million in earn-out and retention consideration over four years, subject to agreed milestones. It also plans to invest a further A$10 million in Paradino over two years to accelerate its product roadmap.
Why now? Australia is seeing strong growth in wealth and retirement savings, lifting demand for financial advice. Adviser capacity remains a key constraint, and Netwealth is betting automation frees advisers to serve more clients.
What's the endgame? The deal supports Netwealth's Dx30 strategy by automating time-intensive parts of advice delivery, including AI-generated filenotes, Records of Advice, and Statements of Advice. Paradino brings specialist AI engineering and workflow expertise into the group.
By the numbers: Paradino supports more than 500 financial advisers and generates A$1.6 million in annual recurring revenue, with a churn rate below 1%. Netwealth says the transaction won't materially affect near-term earnings.
The signal: The acquisition reflects a broader push to embed AI automation directly into wealth platforms, targeting the productivity bottleneck that limits how many clients advisers can serve.
