The round brings the menstrual care startup's total funding to $3.3 million.

What's the endgame? Founded by Katie Diasti and Anna Sise, Viv targets Gen Z consumers with toxin-free tampons and pads, menstrual cups, and other period care products. The new capital fuels its push toward nationwide expansion.

Why now? Earlier this year, Viv said it would expand into all 526 Whole FoodsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → locations in the US with 11 SKUs.

The product: Viv's newest launch, the Cottonlock tampon, uses a patented cotton veil designed to stop fiber residue from being left behind during insertion and removal. The innovation builds on UC Berkeley findings of arsenic and lead in tampons; while many brands responded with 100% cotton offerings, Viv says Cottonlock prevents residue altogether, minimising disruption to the vaginal microbiome.

What they're saying: "Katie and Anna have built more than a period care brand," said investor Shelly Berkowitz of SSB Next Chapter Holdings. "They've built an education-first movement that puts women's health and wellbeing first."

The signal: At $2 million, the round sits in the smaller tier of early-stage deals — a modest raise, but one aimed squarely at converting a patented product and a national retail foothold into scale.
