Who's in charge? Rob Delf, chief executive officer of Fabric Data, becomes CEO of Fabric Insights. Andy Shenkler, TMT Insights' co-founder and CEO, will serve as president overseeing product, technology, and operations, while co-founder Hannah Barnhardt takes on the chief marketing and engagement role.
What's the endgame? The companies want to move clients away from stacking systems and toward orchestration across them. "The answer isn't another system, it's better orchestration across all of them," Delf said. The plan includes tighter integration between Fabric's Origin Studio and TMT's Polaris to build what the companies call a "unified single pane of glass" consumed through user interfaces and agents.
Why now? Fabric has been modernising its stack, launching an AI module and the X2 update to Xytech in April 2026. Adding TMT's orchestration layer and services extends that push as media operations grow more complex.
The signal: The deal reflects consolidation in media technology, where vendors are bundling data, software, and professional services rather than licensing point tools. By pairing products with hands-on expertise, Fabric Insights is betting that broadcasters and studios will pay for adaptability over yet another platform.
