Acclime buys SH Malaysia to expand across 18 markets

What each side brings: SH Malaysia adds capabilities in audit and assurance, corporate and international tax, IPO advisory, mergers and acquisitions, business valuation and corporate restructuring. Acclime contributes strengths in corporate governance, accounting, payroll, HR, company secretarial services and market entry.

What's the endgame? The combined firm can support clients across the full business lifecycle, from market entry and compliance through to growth and complex transactions. Acclime says it is building one of the region's leading integrated professional services firms, now with more than 2,000 professionals across 18 markets.

Why now? Malaysia continues to draw foreign direct investment across manufacturing, technology, financial services and shared services. That demand is fuelling appetite for integrated advisory and compliance support from firms operating across multiple jurisdictions.

SH Malaysia has begun a phased integration, continuing under its existing team and leadership before adopting the Acclime brand. "This acquisition is a natural strategic fit," said Thomas Chan, Acclime's regional managing director for ASEAN, adding that a single integrated firm can "deliver the same quality to clients wherever they operate."

The signal: Acclime is consolidating fragmented professional services across Southeast Asia, betting that clients increasingly want one integrated firm rather than a network of separate practices as cross-border investment grows.
