Stilla lands $5M pre-seed to build "multiplayer" AI agents for teams

What's the deal? StillaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Stockholm-based startup building what it calls a "multiplayer AI agent" for workplace communication, has raised a $5 million pre-seed round led by General Catalyst. Founded in 2024 by former Shopify executives Siavash Ghorbani and Kaj Drobin, the company has already signed enterprise customers including Spotify and Ramp.

What's the endgame? Modern teams juggle dozens of tools — Slack, Microsoft Teams, project management platforms — and context gets lost between them. Stilla's agent sits across those tools and maintains a shared understanding of ongoing work, automating tasks like meeting notes and ticket creation without forcing teams to change their workflows.

How is it different? The "multiplayer" framing is deliberate. Most AI assistants operate in single-player mode: one person asks, one person gets an answer. Stilla is built for teams, where the agent tracks not just individual queries but what a group is working on together.

Why now? Stilla emerged from stealth in January 2026 and has been building momentum since. By May, it had expanded to deep compatibility with the Microsoft ecosystem, covering Teams and SharePoint. The platform now integrates with more than 3,000 tools.

What could go wrong? A $5 million pre-seed is modest by current AI standards, where seed rounds regularly clear $10 million. It funds product development and demand validation, but Stilla will need to prove traction before raising a larger round.

The signal: General Catalyst — an early backer of Stripe, Airbnb, and HubSpot — leading a pre-seed signals conviction in the founders and the workplace-agent thesis. As AI assistants move from individual to team-wide context, Stilla is betting the next battleground is shared, cross-tool collaboration.
