Botsi raises pre-seed to personalise subscription pricing with AI

What's the deal? Atlanta-based BotsiDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised a pre-seed round to expand its machine-learning, engineering, and go-to-market efforts. The startup uses AI to personalise subscription prices and paywall offers for consumer apps.

What's the endgame? Botsi replaces manual pricing A/B tests with continuous optimisation, using options approved by each business. Instead of one "perfect" price, it lets a company offer multiple prices and paywall options to convert more users.

Why now? Chief executive officer Jason Schubert argues traditional pricing relies on a "combination of intuition, competitive research and A/B testing," then rolls one number out to everyone. That approach, he says, optimises for the average user and forces very different customers into a single price.

Botsi launched last year. Early adopters include Fitness AIDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and SleepiestDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, companies that "knew different types of users behaved differently, but their existing monetization setup still treated those users largely the same way," Schubert said. He stresses the "business remains in control of the range" of prices Botsi surfaces.

Who's behind it? Schubert previously ran survey monetisation platform inBrain.aiDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which he bootstrapped over seven years before selling it to DynataDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in 2021.

The signal: Botsi's pitch reframes price personalisation as accessibility rather than extraction. Its bet: companies chasing a single revenue-maximising price lose everyone who cannot justify it — a gap AI-driven, per-user pricing aims to close.
