Eir Partners acquires life sciences platform Accumulus Technologies

Eir is a Miami-based private equity firm focused on healthcare technology, with equity checks ranging from $40 million to $150 million or larger.

What does Accumulus do? Its cloud platform lets pharmaceutical companies and regulatory authorities exchange information and collaborate in a secure environment. More than 75 regulatory authorities are connected to it today.

Why now? The deal builds on Accumulus' 2025 spinout from nonprofit Accumulus SynergyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which turned it into a standalone commercial business able to raise capital and scale. Eir's backing is meant to fund more investment in the technology and push global adoption.

What changes? Not much operationally: Accumulus will keep its existing leadership and mission. "Together, we can move faster and expand our impact while staying true to the mission at the heart of Accumulus," said chief executive officer Francisco Nogueira.

What's the endgame? Eir wants to scale a platform sitting at the intersection of life sciences, technology, and global regulation. "Its purpose-built platform, engagement across industry and regulatory authorities, and potential to transform how life sciences companies and regulatory authorities interact make Accumulus a compelling partnership for Eir," said founder and chief executive officer Brett Carlson.
