Paradigme raises €2M to sell its AI model-generation tool to fashion brands

What's the deal? ParadigmeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a French premium second-hand fashion platform, has raised €2 million ($2.3 million) to fund hiring, its AI tools, and European expansion. HartwoodDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and One GreenDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → led the round, joined by Pelintex, several business angels, and existing partner Showroomprivé.

The details: Announced September 8, this is the second raise for the company, founded in 2022 by brothers Fabien and Vincent Huché-Deniset, two years after a €1.2 million first round. Paradigme buys clothes from individuals in exchange for gift cards valid at around 50 partner retailers — including Galeries Lafayette, the Printemps groupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and Showroomprivé — then resells them on its own site at an average of 70% below new prices.

Why now? The company says it quadrupled both revenue and online volumes over the past year with little spending, moving from 5,000 pieces online in 2024. "It's these results that make a raise twice as big possible today," co-founder Vincent Huché-Deniset told CM-CM.fr (translated from French).

What's the endgame? Paradigme now has every product page carried by AI-generated models, replacing its photos on hangers and single annual photoshoot. It has turned that capability into a second business — an AI studio for product photos and listings — sold to its own retail partners.

What could go wrong? Huché-Deniset says the company had approached profitability, but the round means moving away from it for several months. "Our operations are too costly," he said, citing a warehouse, quality control, and refurbishment. The company closed its department-store corners in 2025.

The signal: Paradigme argues the financing model for second-hand has shifted. A decade ago, business-to-consumer resale startups like Vinted and Back Market raised tens of millions; Paradigme says it stretched €1.2 million across two years by leaning on business-to-business partnerships and gift cards rather than six-figure ad budgets. Its bet: AI content generation is now a product to sell, not just an internal cost saver.
