TJ Robotics lands late-stage round from Ant, Tencent, and Sofina

What's the deal? China's TJ Robotics has closed a late-stage strategic funding round, the company announced in September 2026. Ant Group and Sofina (Sofina Asia Private Ltd.) co-led the round, with returning backers Gaorong Ventures and Tencent joining. Gaohu CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. What's the endgame? TJ Robotics builds robots and control systems, offering standardised products for both broad industrial and commercial markets. It fields a full range of small- and medium-payload robots and has developed its own TJ Fusion control system to cover varied use cases.

Where's the money going? The company said the new capital will fund technology research, mass production, and global market expansion. It aims to strengthen its core technology and product platform while improving delivery and service for customers worldwide.

The signal: Backing from Ant Group, Tencent, and European investment firm Sofina points to sustained investor appetite for Chinese robotics firms building both hardware and the software stack that runs it.
