Seojin System lands $148M private placement from Neoyoung

What's the deal? South Korea's Seojin SystemDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised KRW 200 billion (roughly $148 million) from Neoyoung Co., Ltd, according to a September 2026 announcement. The financing is structured as a private placement rather than a venture round.

How it's structured: On September 4, 2026, Seojin System closed the transaction and issued Series 41 bearer-type interest-bearing unsecured perpetual convertible bonds worth KRW 62.5 billion. It also issued zero-coupon Series 42 private placement convertible bonds of KRW 32.5 billion in the third and final tranche.

Why it stands out: The KRW 200 billion sum ranks in the 96th percentile of non-VC private placement rounds over the trailing 48 months, based on a sample of 5,673 deals. That puts it among the larger raises of its type.

The signal: Convertible-bond private placements let established companies raise sizeable capital without a conventional equity round or venture backer. Seojin System's deal shows how firms outside the startup mould are tapping single strategic investors for large sums.
