China's HAAWKING raises Series B for RISC-V industrial chips
What's the deal? HAAWKING, a Chinese developer of industrial control microprocessors and specialised chips, has closed a Series B round. Yuehu Capital led the investment, announced in September 2026.
What's the endgame? The company designs domestic, secure and controllable digital signal processors (DSPs). It targets special applications, motor control, and consumer electronics, and has shipped several DSPs and RISC-V processors.
Why now? HAAWKING also builds chips for machine vision and image processing. Its work sits at the intersection of two priorities in China: homegrown silicon and the open RISC-V architecture.
The signal: The round reflects continued investor appetite for Chinese firms pursuing self-sufficient chip design, particularly those betting on RISC-V as an alternative to established processor architectures.
