Precore Gold closes oversubscribed $4.4M private placement led by Argonaut

What's the deal? Precore GoldDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has closed a fully allocated, oversubscribed non-brokered private placement for gross proceeds of C$6,000,000 (about $4.4 million). The Vancouver-based miner sold 30,000,000 units at C$0.20 each, with ArgonautDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → acting as cornerstone investor and advisor.

The details: Each unit pairs one common share with half a warrant, exercisable at C$0.28 until September 3, 2028. The company said proceeds will fund exploration work and general working capital.

What's the endgame? Precore Gold is focused on its flagship Arikepay Project in Peru. Argonaut's Rob Telford, director of equity capital markets, said an in-house review indicates the project "has the potential to host a significant gold resource," citing historical intercepts of "81m @ ~3g/t gold" that were never followed up when the focus was on copper.

Why now? The raise is Precore Gold's first significant capital raise, executive chairman Paul A. Dumas said, drawing institutional investors from outside the Americas. He said the company chose not to upsize the offering to avoid diluting existing shareholders.

The signal: At roughly $4.4 million, the round sits in the smaller tier of financings — near the 34th percentile by amount. For an early-stage explorer, though, a cornerstoned, oversubscribed placement signals investor appetite for gold projects as prices stay elevated and broadens Precore Gold's shareholder base ahead of its first drill programs.
