What's the endgame? DocPharma operates as a backend supply-chain provider for healthcare platforms, not a consumer-facing e-pharmacy. It serves more than 30 partners, including e-pharmacies, hospitals, health insurers, corporate wellness programs, and D2C brands.
How it works: Its DocPharma One platform integrates inventory, warehouse, and order management with prescription-compliant fulfilment. Its dark stores stock more than 40,000 SKUs, letting partners deliver medicines in under 30 minutes.
The company said it has fulfilled more than 800,000 orders to date, with a fulfilment rate above 95%.
What's the money for? DocPharma plans to set up 100 new dark stores, expanding its network from more than 12 cities to over 50. Founders Saquib Ali, Shashank Rai, and Sagar Chauhan said the focus will be on scaling fulfilment infrastructure and technology as it enters new markets.
Why it matters: "Healthcare is one of India's fastest-growing sectors, but the supply chain supporting it has remained fragmented," said Manish Goel, founder-director at Equentis. He said DocPharma combines "licensed infrastructure, AI-powered technology and operational expertise into a scalable healthcare supply chain."
The signal: At $2 million, the round sits in the upper reaches of early-stage deals by size — a bet that quick-commerce mechanics can reshape how medicines reach Indian patients, with the backend provider rather than the consumer app capturing the value.
