By the numbers: Enhance says it supports 15,000 personal trainers and over 500,000 booked sessions per month. Its revenue has grown at a 65% compound annual growth rate since 2019. For mature HVLP gyms running its software, personal training revenue can reach $85,000 per club per month.
Why now? The funding lands as the personal training sector shifts amid the rise of AI. At least two major US gym chains now offer AI-powered training apps, and more could follow.
Enhance uses AI to handle admin and technical tasks but believes human trainers should manage client relationships on the gym floor. It wants to become the operating system for the entire global personal training market, which it values at $42 billion.
What they're saying: "We are delighted to add growth capital and to diversify our capital structure, from a position of strength," said founder and chief executive officer Tarek Mounir. "We are becoming the global operating system for personal training … that redefines how PT services are delivered and managed."
Global Ventures has backed Enhance across successive rounds. "Enhance demonstrates that companies founded in this region can compete and win in the world's most developed markets," said Noor Sweid, its founder and managing partner.
The signal: At the 30th percentile among comparable rounds, the $18.2 million raise is modest in size but points to a bigger trend: a GCC-founded fitness tech startup betting it can scale in the US against AI-driven competition.
