What each company does: ServerLIFT, founded in 2001 by Ray and David Zuckerman, makes electric, hand-cranked, and heavy-duty lifts used to install, move, and service IT hardware in server rooms. Its products sell in more than 60 countries. JSG makes a broad portfolio of workplace safety and compliance products.
Why it matters: The deal pushes JSG into the data center market, which it calls a "high-growth" end market. "This acquisition extends our platform into the high-growth data center end market," said Ankush Kumar, JSG's president and CEO.
What's the endgame? ServerLIFT positions itself as a supplier to hyperscale and colocation operators as servers grow heavier and racks taller. "Joining JSG gives our teams the resources and distribution to reach scale faster while staying focused on what we do best," said John Spillane, CEO of ServerLIFT.

The signal: The deal ties two trends together — the buildout of data centers and the private equity playbook of bolting adjacent products onto a core platform. For JSG, ServerLIFT is a way to sell safety and compliance gear into one of the fastest-growing corners of the industrial market.
