CurveBeam AI raises A$606,150 in SPP, weeks after A$5M placement

What's the deal? CurveBeam AI has raised A$606,150.26 through a share purchase plan (SPP), the medical imaging company confirmed. It will issue 33,675,015 new fully paid ordinary shares on September 4, 2026, priced at A$0.018 each.

What does it do? The company designs, manufactures, and markets CT scanners paired with AI-powered SaaS clinical tools that help healthcare professionals manage musculoskeletal disorders. Its flagship HiRise CT scanner supports both weight-bearing and traditional non-weight-bearing scans.

Why now? The SPP arrives just weeks after CurveBeam AI announced a separate A$5 million placement on July 8, 2026. The SPP price marks a 10% discount to that placement's offer price.

What's the money for? Combined SPP and placement proceeds will fund sales and marketing, R&D for the HiRise, and the scanner's planned China launch, including related supply chain costs. Working capital and offer costs round out the allocation.

The offer closed at 17:00 AEST on August 28, 2026. CurveBeam AI, which employs more than 70 staff across Melbourne and Hatfield, Pennsylvania, retains discretion to place any shortfall shares under ASX Listing Rules.

The signal: The quick return to shareholders so soon after a placement shows CurveBeam AI stacking capital to fund its China market push — a signal of near-term expansion priorities over runway conservation.
