What each side brings: Alpy.com, a brand of Bratislava-based 2beGroup, connects more than 1,150 partner shops with winter sports customers worldwide. PNS runs 36 ski, snowboard, and bike rental locations across Andorra and Spain's main ski destinations, with more than 40 years in the business.
What's the rationale? The deal pairs Alpy.com's marketplace technology with PNS's operational experience in physical rentals. Over two decades, Alpy.com grew from an industry pioneer into a profitable business and Europe's leading ski-rental marketplace, according to Pava Partners.
What changes? PNS's market knowledge is set to support Alpy.com's further growth, the parties said, though no operational changes were detailed. "We are pleased to take the next step in Alpy.com's growth journey together with PNS as a strong partner," said Gunther Dillersberger, chief executive officer of 2beGroup (translated from German).
The signal: The acquisition reflects consolidation across Europe's fragmented winter-sports rental sector, as an established regional operator absorbs a digital marketplace to combine physical scale with online reach.
