Shenyi Technology raises 10M yuan angel round for consumer and medical brain-computer tech
What's the deal? Shenzhen Shenyi TechnologyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised over 10 million yuan (roughly $1.5 million) in an angel round led by Leaguer Venture Capital, with participation from Dongguan Biotech and several Guangming LiheDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →-linked funds. Founded in May 2025, the company develops brain function monitoring and intervention products that combine AI with non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) and neuromodulation technologies.
What's the endgame? Shenyi targets sleep disorders, depression, and other brain conditions through a two-track model it calls "Serious Medical Care + Consumer Health." The medical side builds diagnosis-and-treatment tools; the consumer side sells wearable BCI devices aimed at daily use.
Where's the money going? The company plans to spend the round on core BCI research, mass production of consumer-grade products, and overseas expansion. It will also fund clinical validation and registration of medical-grade products, including depression diagnosis and neuromodulation.
Its first medical product is a closed-loop temporal interference (TI) electrical stimulation device for non-invasive deep-brain stimulation. According to the team, it is the first domestically developed closed-loop TI neuromodulation device built for industrialisation, distinct from the one-way stimulation approach most competitors use.
Why now? Shenyi is betting that cheap, wearable consumer devices can build a "data flywheel": more users generate more real-world EEG data, which sharpens its algorithms and improves products. That feedback loop, in turn, feeds its medical ambitions.
The signal: BCI has largely been the domain of invasive, high-cost research projects. Shenyi's push to make brain-computer intelligence affordable and consumer-ready signals a broader move to bring the technology out of the lab and into everyday health management.
