Reformer Club raises €2.34M to scale premium Pilates to 50 studios

What's the deal? Munich-based fitness startup Reformer ClubDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised €2.34 million in an early-stage round led by Vorwerk VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. Founders Marlene Schöbel and Stephanie Adolf will use the capital to expand their premium Reformer Pilates chain from five studios today to 50 by the end of 2029.

What's the endgame? Founded in Munich in 2024, Reformer Club now runs five locations across Munich, Hamburg, and Berlin. Studios in Mannheim, Düsseldorf, and Frankfurt are under construction, with European markets to follow.

Where it's expanding: The company plans to roll out across Germany first, then enter other European markets. Vorwerk Ventures sees room to grow: Reformer Pilates supply in Germany remains limited compared with the rest of Europe.

What makes it different? Built on three pillars — "Reform. Refuel. Connect." — the concept combines classic Reformer Pilates with functional strength training in groups of about 15, sitting between large and small class formats. Studios double as social spaces with health bars, community areas, and showers.

What could go wrong? Maintaining consistent quality across a growing footprint is the main risk. Reformer Club has set up its own Academy, with three training levels and defined standards, to scale its instructor pool alongside locations.

Why now? Vorwerk Ventures is backing boutique fitness as a "third space" — alongside home and work — where exercise and community meet. "Reformer Pilates is one of the key drivers in this trend," said Peter Schmetz, principal at Vorwerk Ventures.

The signal: At €2.34 million, this is a modest early-stage cheque, ranking around the middle of comparable rounds. But it reflects investor appetite for scalable, community-driven fitness concepts in a European market still short on supply.
