What does RMS do? Road Mobility Services offers a full-service concept for heavy-duty vehicles across Europe, combining emergency roadside assistance with workshop services along major transport routes. It operates 83 of its own workshops in four countries and taps more than 3,000 partners for round-the-clock coverage.
Why now? RMS has grown fast by consolidating roadside assistance, tyre, and workshop businesses in a fragmented segment. The new backing is meant to accelerate that strategy.
What's the endgame? Nalka wants to expand the company's geographic footprint and service offering. Managing director Martin Lagerblad said heavy-duty road transport is "vital to Europe's supply chains and economic resilience," pointing to Nalka's prior logistics investments.
The new chair: Jensen, who leads automotive glass repair group Cary Group, brings acquisition-driven growth experience to the board. "This mirrors my own experience with acquisition-driven growth, and I look forward to bringing that perspective to the board," he said.
Chief executive officer Catarina Göthberg framed the change as fuel for scale. "To continue strengthening our geographic presence, we're excited to welcome Nalka as new long-term owner," she said.
The signal: The deal reflects investor appetite for roll-ups in fragmented, essential-service niches — here, the unglamorous but critical business of keeping European trucks moving. With Jensen's consolidation track record on the board, RMS is signalling more acquisitions ahead.
