Alliance Aviation raises A$33M in institutional leg of A$40M equity round

What's the deal? Alliance Aviation ServicesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (ASX: AQZ) has completed the institutional component of a A$40 million equity raising, securing about A$33 million at A$0.70 per new share. The raise combines a fully underwritten institutional placement with the institutional portion of a 1-for-5.6 accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer.

How it landed: Take-up from eligible institutional shareholders reached roughly 95.8%, with shortfall shares placed to institutional investors. Settlement of the new shares is expected on September 4, 2026, with trading to commence on September 7.

Why now? Chairman James Jackson framed the raise as "an important step in our turnaround program." Proceeds will fund working capital, enhance balance sheet flexibility, and start debt reduction.

What's next? The retail component opens on September 2 and closes on September 11, 2026, offering eligible shareholders in Australia and New Zealand the same A$0.70 price. All eligible board members intend to participate.

The signal: At about A$40 million, this post-IPO raise sits in the smaller tier of equity rounds. For Alliance, the strong institutional take-up signals investor willingness to back a listed operator working through a balance sheet reset.
