Uzbek utility-payments startup DOMO raises $100K from IT Park Ventures
What's the deal? IT Park VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has invested $100,000 in DOMO, an Uzbek digital platform and aggregator for utility bill payments. The fund announced the deal at the Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum.
What does DOMO do? The platform brings utility payments into a single digital environment, letting users pay bills, track consumption and expenses, manage multiple properties, and set up automatic payments. It counts more than 2.3 million registered users and 1.5 million monthly active users, with an average app rating of 4.8.
What's the money for? DOMO will use the funding for product development and scaling — including geographic expansion, sales and partner network growth, marketing, team hiring, and IT infrastructure.
What's the endgame? The startup is moving into HomeTech, a sector IT Park Ventures sees as large and underserved. "The team is now actively expanding into HomeTech — a large and promising sector with significant room for innovative solutions," said Dalerkhon Nodirov, director of IT Park Ventures.
Founder Alisher Tojiyev framed the raise as both an opportunity and an obligation. "This investment not only opens up new opportunities for us but also increases our responsibility," he said.
The signal: The deal is another step in IT Park Ventures' work with technology projects in Uzbekistan, and a signal that consumer fintech and HomeTech are drawing investor attention in Central Asia.
