Poland's eTravel buys majority of Romania's Accent Travel in corporate travel push

The terms: Accent Travel will retain its brand, and eTravel's expansion in Romania will run solely through the local agency. The deal marks eTravel's official entry into the Romanian market.
What each side brings: eTravel, founded in 2011, is one of Europe's largest business travel management companies, active in Poland and the Czech Republic. It built the Corporate Travel Assistant (CTA) platform, which links trip planning and booking with clients' internal travel policies and accounting systems.
What's the endgame? For Accent Travel's clients, the deal opens access to eTravel's full product range and technology platform. That includes wider hotel and airline content, low-cost carrier options, airline fares via NDC channels, and eTravel's own hotel inventory.
Boronea framed the buyer as the right long-term fit. "Their technology will help us scale and bring a very strong digitalisation dimension. They came closest to what I wanted going forward for Accent," he said (translated from Romanian).
By the numbers: Accent Travel closed 2025 with sales volume of about 152 million lei, down almost 12% year on year. It reported turnover of 12.9 million lei — the commission earned across all packages sold — and net profit of 598,000 lei, nearly half the prior year's figure.

The signal: The deal is the latest instance of a Polish player buying into Romania's travel sector, and it positions eTravel as a technology-driven business travel group across Central and Eastern Europe.
