India's Nexedge raises $20M at $250M valuation for wealth management

What's the deal? Nexedge Capital, an Indian wealth-management and multi-family office firm, has raised $20 million in its maiden funding round. Mirae Asset Venture InvestmentDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Elev8 Venture PartnersDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → co-led the round, which values the firm at about $250 million.

What's the endgame? Founder and chief executive officer Anirudha Taparia, formerly co-founder and joint CEO of 360 ONE WealthDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, wants to build "India's first true net-worth management firm — one that manages the entirety of a family's balance sheet rather than only its investible surplus." The firm will use the capital to strengthen its technology, expand its senior banker network, and extend across India, including tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

By the numbers: Launched in February 2025, Nexedge has scaled to more than $3 billion in assets under management within 18 months across over 1,300 clients. It has onboarded more than 95 senior bankers, with another 50 to 60 expected to join in 2026.

Why now? Investors point to India's growing pool of wealthy clients. "India's HNI and UHNI wealth pool is at the start of a multi-decade compounding cycle," said Elev8 managing partner Navin Honagudi.

What backers say: Mirae Asset CEO Puneet Kumar cited the firm's ownership model, where over 150 senior leaders have invested their own capital. "When advisors have their own capital at stake, incentives are structurally tied to client outcomes, not growth targets alone," he said.

Where it's building: Nexedge currently operates in 11 to 12 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune. It plans to add 10 locations such as Indore, Bhubaneswar, and Raipur by the end of the year, alongside a dedicated NRI proposition and a non-bank lending business.

The signal: At $20 million, Nexedge's round sits in the top 10% of all-time early-stage VC rounds for Indian fintech, underscoring how far investor appetite is shifting toward serving India's expanding base of high net worth families.
