What each company does: C.R. Toogood is a third-generation family business offering commercial insurance, employee benefits, life insurance, and mortgage broking. It posted gross written premiums of £14.5 million in 2024 with 19 staff. CCP, founded in 1976, provides vehicle warranties and after-sales support to more than 30 original equipment manufacturers, over 2,500 dealers, and customers in roughly 100 countries.
What's the rationale? Clear said the deal deepens its UK retail footprint in the South of England. Why now? The ANV transaction is expected to close around the end of September 2026. Peter Toogood, managing director of C.R. Toogood, said Clear is "the right partner to take us forward."
