Mining autonomy startup Robonets raises 100M CNY at 1B CNY valuation
What's the deal? Robonets Information Technology, a Chinese developer of autonomous driving systems for mines, has raised 100,000,000 CNY (roughly $14.9 million) in a Series B round. The financing values the company at 1,000,000,000 CNY post-money.
Who's backing it? Hainan Jichen, tied to Inner Mongolia Huiming Tushi, led the round. Inner Mongolia Dongfang Tushi, Shuangcheng Tushi, and other industrial investors joined as backers.
What's the endgame? Robonets builds driverless technology and integrated solutions for mines and similar sites. The strategic investors point to a customer base rooted in China's mining and materials industry.
The signal: The round sits in the middle of the pack by size, but the investor list stands out. By pulling in industrial capital rather than pure venture money, Robonets signals that mining autonomy is being valued by the operators who stand to deploy it.
