Why now? E2mas has posted steady growth, with revenue rising from ₩64.5 billion in 2023 to ₩111.8 billion in 2025 — a 31.7% average annual growth rate. Operating profit reached ₩9.8 billion in 2025, its third consecutive profitable year.
Taewoong has also secured an option to buy 7,002 more shares within 12 months of closing, which would raise its stake further.
The signal: The deal reflects freight operators moving beyond traditional cargo into cross-border e-commerce fulfilment. Taewoong plans to pair its international networks in South America and Central Asia with E2mas's e-commerce data to expand volumes. "This acquisition is a strategic investment to expand our business beyond existing international logistics into global e-commerce logistics and logistics IT," a Taewoong representative said (translated from Korean).
