What's the endgame? AssistMe builds alea, a medical device and integrated care platform that gives caregivers event-based data on incontinence, body signals, posture, and location. The system alerts staff when a product needs changing or a fall may have occurred, then feeds the information into care documentation automatically.
Where the money goes: The company will expand commercial operations across Europe, keep developing the alea care platform, and prepare its entry into the US market, planned for 2027.
Why now? Growth has been steep. Monthly recurring revenue rose more than sixfold in the six months before the announcement, and alea is now used by large and small providers, including facilities run by JohanniterDealroom has a profile for this one. "AssistMe was founded because in the care sector, decisions are made every day based on incomplete information," said chief executive officer Julio Brandl (translated from Spanish). "With this new capital, we will now also bring alea to the United States."
CRB Health Tech partner Alejo Costa Ribalta pointed to the platform's traction: "The strong growth recorded this year demonstrates the platform's potential" (translated from Spanish).
The signal: At €6.5 million, the round sits around the 35th percentile by deal size — modest capital for a company betting on transatlantic expansion. It reflects investor appetite for digitising professional care, a labour-strapped sector where better data promises to cut administrative load and free staff for patients.
