Genova taps market again with 250M SEK green hybrid bond
What's the deal? Swedish property company Genova has issued green hybrid bonds totaling 250 million kronor (≈$26 million), a post-IPO debt raise announced in August 2026. The bonds were issued under a 500 million kronor framework, leaving room for further issuance.
The terms: The bonds carry perpetual maturity and a floating rate of three-month Stibor plus 440 basis points. The first possible redemption comes after 4.5 years.
Why now? Genova is moving quickly to reshape its capital structure, returning to the market with a fresh raise rather than waiting. Chief executive officer Michael Moschewitz framed the move as part of ongoing balance-sheet work.
What's the endgame? The hybrid structure adds equity-like capital without diluting shareholders. "The hybrid bond issue adds equity at an attractive interest rate and provides the conditions for continued investments where we can create profitable growth," Moschewitz said.
The signal: A quick re-raise under an existing framework points to a company confident it can keep funding growth on favourable terms — and to steady investor appetite for green, equity-adjacent debt in the property sector.
