Habitat raises RMB 700 million in Series A financing
What's the deal? Habitat, a Chinese smart-residential company founded by former Li Auto co-founder and president Shen Yanan, has raised RMB 700 million (about $104 million) in a Series A round. The financing was led by the Changzhou Xinbei District Science and Technology Innovation Fund, according to TMTPOST.
What it means. Habitat positions itself as a lifestyle-intelligence firm applying automotive-style product development to integrated smart homes. The proceeds will support an AI smart-residential global headquarters and research centre in Changzhou, an embodied-intelligence laboratory, and a production-grade AI design and delivery system.
By the numbers. Habitat raised a combined RMB 653 million across earlier rounds in 2024. It now operates direct-sales networks in seven Chinese cities, with annual contracted scale exceeding RMB 1 billion.
