Lochner rebrands as Egis after 2025 merger

The move creates a unified US infrastructure business with more than 1,500 professionals across 70 offices.

What it means. Operating under a single Egis brand is intended to support expansion across the US and North America, combining Lochner's long-established infrastructure operations with Egis Group's global architecture, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility expertise.

The unified organisation will provide end-to-end services spanning transportation, water, energy and environmental infrastructure. Lochner brought more than 80 years of experience in public infrastructure to the combination, while Egis Group operates in 70 countries and employs approximately 23,500 people globally.

The signal. Retiring an 80-year-old US name points to Egis Group's intent to compete as a single global entity in a consolidating engineering and infrastructure sector, where scale and broad capability increasingly matter for large public projects.
