Asker buys Baltic medtech firm Ambercell, adding SEK 250M in revenue

The deal awaits regulatory approval and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
What does Ambercell do? The Lithuania-based company supplies therapy- and procedure-specific packs and medical consumables through its own integrated supply chain management platform, plus a range of medical products and clinical solutions across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. It focuses on operating rooms and interventional medicine.
The numbers: Ambercell has 45 employees and generated revenue of about SEK 250m in the 12 months before the announcement. Asker said the acquisition should contribute positively to the group's EBITA margin.
What's the endgame? Asker builds and acquires healthcare companies across Europe. Chief executive Johan Falk said Ambercell's platform "has become the preferred solution in many hospitals in the region" and pointed to plans to back its "expansion across Europe."
The scale: Asker has more than 5,000 employees in 19 countries and revenues of SEK 18 billion, making Ambercell a small but strategic addition to its footprint.
The signal: The deal extends Asker's acquisitive model into the Baltics, adding a medtech supplier with an integrated supply-chain platform and exposure to fragmented healthcare markets.
