Who's involved? Founded in 2004, Pest Control Plus serves residential, commercial, and property management customers across the Greater Toronto Area and throughout Ontario. Its founder, Mark Joseph, will stay on to lead the team.

Why now? The deal marks Tyro Group's first entry into Canada and extends its expansion across North America. It buys the group an established local operator rather than building a presence from scratch.

What's the endgame? Tyro's strategy is to partner with strong local pest management companies, backing their growth with shared expertise and investment while preserving each firm's local identity and customer relationships. Pest Control Plus keeps its brand and gains access to network-wide support and long-term capital.

What they're saying: "Entering the Canadian market is an important milestone for Tyro Group," said chief executive officer Svein Olav Stolen. Joseph said joining the group lets the company "continue developing Pest Control Plus while staying true to the service, people and customer relationships that have been central to our success."

The signal: Pest control remains a fragmented industry that international groups are consolidating deal by deal. Tyro's move into Canada shows the roll-up model spreading across North America, absorbing regional operators while letting them keep their local footing and customer relationships.
