UPS raises $325.1M in 50-year notes maturing in 2076
What's the deal? United Parcel ServiceDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has agreed to sell $325,105,000 in floating-rate senior notes due in 2076, a 50-year debt issuance. The company signed the underwriting agreement on 14 August 2026 and filed the related Form 8-K on 18 August 2026.
The terms. The notes carry a floating rate calculated as Compounded SOFR less 0.350%, with a minimum of 0.00%, and were priced at 100% of principal. UPS can redeem them at par from 1 September 2066, while holders can seek repayment at set prices between September 2027 and September 2037.
Why now? The 50-year tenor extends UPS's maturity profile and locks in long-term financing tied to SOFR. UPS said it intends to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes.
Who's behind it? Four underwriters split the offering: RBC Capital MarketsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → took $137.426 million, Morgan StanleyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → $85.695 million, UBS SecuritiesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → $61.144 million, and J.P. Morgan Securities $40.840 million.
The signal. The issuance steps up from UPS's prior round, and the ultra-long, floating-rate structure lets it secure capital while continuing to invest in its network and return money to shareholders.
