Dover to acquire Leistung, expand manufacturing footprint and cryogenic offerings

What does Leistung do? It designs and manufactures cryogenic valves — including globe, check, and control valves — engineered for liquefied natural gas, industrial gas, and other low-temperature uses. Its portfolio also spans diaphragm valves, filtration systems, and related products.
The expansion angle: Leistung's facility will become a strategic manufacturing hub for Dover in India, with room to scale. The country's investments in LNG terminals and natural gas pipeline infrastructure are driving sustained demand for cryogenic flow control.
Why now? Leistung has posted double-digit organic growth over the past three years, fuelled by research, new products, and its engineering team. That momentum aligns with Dover's push into a fast-growing market.
What's the endgame? Dover, a diversified manufacturer with annual revenue above $8 billion, wants to expand its global footprint and deepen its cryogenic capabilities.
"This acquisition strengthens our ability to serve the rapidly growing Indian market while expanding our global manufacturing footprint and advancing our capabilities in cryogenic solutions," said David Malinas, president of OPW.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.
The signal: The deal reflects how global industrial players are localising manufacturing in India to capture demand tied to the country's energy infrastructure buildout, with cryogenic technology central to the LNG shift.
