What does CheckedUp do? Founded in 2012, CheckedUp connects patients, healthcare providers, and life sciences companies within the clinical environment. It delivers education and brand content through a digital network of waiting-room televisions and interactive exam-room wallboards.

The scale: CheckedUp reaches more than 17,000 specialty healthcare providers and works with most of the top 40 pharmaceutical manufacturers. Terms were not disclosed.

What they're saying: Rockbridge managing partner and co-founder Brian Hermelin said the firm had executed its growth playbook with CheckedUp and described Providence and Varsity as ideal partners for the company's next chapter.

What's the endgame? Building on Providence's experience across media and technology, CheckedUp aims to make point of care a more strategic, measurable, and accountable healthcare media channel. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

The signal: Point-of-care media is emerging as a distinct advertising channel for pharmaceutical brands, and private equity is increasingly treating these platforms as scalable assets — buying, consolidating, and reselling them as their reach and measurement capabilities mature.
