The deal brings over a four-person team led by founder Karen J. Kaseno, alongside Amy Good, Cheryl Mauleon and Kaitlyn Kaseno. Financial terms were not disclosed.
What each side brings: Kaseno has more than 35 years of litigation support experience focused on complex family law and fraud investigations, including work as a court-appointed Evidence Code §730 Special Master and expert testimony in dozens of commercial litigation cases. GA Group provides financial advisory, valuation, asset disposition, investment banking and lending services.
What's the endgame? The acquisition expands a litigation support platform led by Curt Germany, GA Group senior managing director and Financial Advisory Services national practice leader. Germany joined in 2026 to build specialty practices spanning valuation, transaction advisory, quality of earnings, CFO advisory and litigation support.
Why now? Family law disputes often involve complicated questions about business ownership, asset values, income, damages and financial misconduct. That creates demand for specialists who can analyse financial records and present findings in litigation or mediation.
"Adding these capabilities meaningfully expands the depth of our family law litigation support platform," Germany said. He added that the Kaseno team "has earned a strong reputation for rigorous financial analysis, trusted expert services, and practical insight in high-stakes matters."
What changes for clients? Kaseno said joining GA Group gives her team access to more resources and a wider range of engagements. "Our existing clients will benefit from additional resources and capabilities through GA Group," she said.
The signal: The deal marks another step in GA Group's push to expand its Financial Advisory Services business in specialised practices.
